Infiltrate the abandoned Ruby Factory and escape with as many rubies as possible before the security guards return. You will need to use physical and mental skills to operate the disused machinery and extract the rubies. This game isn't about how quickly you can get out, hence it's easy rating. To get on the leaderboard you'll need to collect the most rubies and successfully escape before the guards return.

Ruby Factory was high on my list of games to play in Bury mainly because it sounded interestingly different: a game with an almost totally open, non-linear structure, where instead of any single goal, your aim is to collect as many rubies as you can. Even better, the game description emphasises that the challenges include physical as well as mental elements, which sounded highly promising. And I did indeed like it a lot - to start with. A fun game where you'll definitely get your money's worth - most likely playing almost the full sixty minutes. A wide variety of puzzles, a fun scoring mechanism and an inevitably stressful finale made this a joy to play. The only drawbacks were a safety issue in the room and some temperamental props but in spite of those I'd heartily recommend.

It’s properly gutting to be playing a game that you’re convinced is a new favourite and then it just fumbles the ball, ever so slightly, and that fifth star melts away, leaving us with a brilliant game that should have been one of the best.

A room full of challenging physical puzzles with the emphasis on collecting rubies rather than escaping quickly. Really good fun. We escape with 44 rubies – the average is 30 and the high score is over 60.
