In "Beyond Medusa’s Gate" (Assassin's Creed Creed Odyseey®) tauchen zwei bis vier Personen in das antike Griechenland in Virtualer Realität ein, um eine geheimnisvolle Höhle rund um die Argonautensage zu erforschen. In einer ägäischen Küstenhöhle liegt laut einer Legende das sagenhaft schnelle Schiff Argo verborgen, um mutige Abenteurer anzulocken.
Nach dem Eintreten in die verhängnisvollen Gefilde werden die Spieler vor zahlreiche Herausforderungen gestellt, um in 60 Minuten einen Weg aus der gefährlichen virtuellen Umgebung zu finden.Um die Rätsel zu lösen, müssen die Teams kooperativ zusammenarbeiten und Teamarbeit, Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und ein präzises Timing an den Tag legen. Eine Herausforderung an Problemlösekompetenz und Kreativität eines Jeden!

Enjoyed this as a game in itself but it wasn’t what we were expecting as an ‘escape room’.
Easy to find, and to park, staff friendly and helpful, venue clean and pleasant.
The tech and the kit were top notch and I’d highly recommend it to people who enjoy computer games.
For escape room enthusiasts, it’s maybe worth a go but it’s not quite what we expected it to be.
Note: I suffer with vertigo and motion sickness and I felt unwell for the rest of the day after this and the lovely freebie (VR swing / coaster ride) they offered us at the end. Just the game I might not have been as bad, and it’s possible other games may have been more suitable had I mentioned it before we started, but I’d expected to be walking around a virtual room solving puzzles, not climbing, shooting arrows and sailing! Oops.

Beyond Medusa’s Gate can be played in a team of 2 or a team of 4 as you’ll have split into two groups at various points throughout the game and complete tasks on opposite sides of the cave in tandem. The game begins, after a brief customisation area, alone inside a dark room. This is a kind of ‘demo’ area which helps you get to grips with the controls – teleporting, grabbing, sliding, pushing, setting fire to yourself. You know, typical VR game stuff. Once you’ve cracked the first area, you’re reunited with your teammates and the journey toward Medusa’s Gate begins.
