The Nayland Rock Hotel, once Margate's most glamorous destination, visited by the rich and famous. A downstairs bar, The Crescent Suite, hosted regular meetings of a little known Society. When the Hotel closed for renovations in the 1980's the Society and the bar's Landlady vanished without a trace.

The Crescent Suite never reopened.

For years rumours have persisted of valuable items hidden away in the suite and then, with the death of an American man in 2021, clues came to light of those items whereabouts. The dead man's children, The Twins, live in the US and can't come to find them themselves, but...

...with the help of a friendly security guard they can get you inside.

Can you help ?

For a finders fee of course.

I have never experienced an escape room before but this one was recommended to me by a friend, so thought we would give it a try.

There was a really engaging storyline throughout, well thought out clues, atmospheric effects and we loved the 80s theme.  Having grown up in Margate, having the location in the iconic old Nayland Rock Hotel was a great touch.

Thoroughly recommend!

All of us agreed that this is our favourite escape room! It was brilliant and we had a lot of fun! Excellent story telling, very immersive, superb sets and sound design! Everything felt very well thought out and designed.... loved the 80's vibe and the atmosphere that was created! If you love an escape room.... you must try this one!!!!

You wouldn’t believe this was a first time they’d made an escape room. Overall a really fun experience, it’s not the most sophisticated room I’ve ever played, however, the game is well put together, with a great narrative that flows through the game and a fantastic use of the space so much so you forget it’s just a pop up game. Where they use tech, it’s generally well done although we had a slight hitch with one lock towards the end, it was well dealt with by the GM and I’m sure they’ll smooth that out. GM (and also owner, designer and narrative creator) was friendly and welcoming.

For me, this room had the almost perfect blend of narrative, searching, small hand held puzzle props and larger physical puzzles.  One part of the game involves a physical challenge (but not a difficult one) that only one member of the team can do as the other watches.  As the one doing the watching in my team it was hilarious.  I’ll say no more because it would be a spoiler but I was crying with laughter as my teammate valiantly carried on.
