Escape rooms weren't always just harmless fun....
They were originally designed as experiments carried out in secret by the government between the 1940s-1960s. Hundreds of British citizens were experimented on against their will.
Very few made it out alive.
Now it's your turn.

Voluntarily give up your freedom in the name of science!
We are seeking candidates to become the next group of Test Subjects to take part in a series of sinister psychological experiments where nothing is what it seems.
Take on devious puzzles and challenges designed to tip you over the edge of sanity.

This is an excellent escape room, that created an atmosphere and growing intensity that made it feel like the first few escape rooms I ever played. It is really well crafted, interesting and unique puzzles, clear storyline, and the room design is brilliant. This game mixes up physical and techy puzzles, there's a lot to do, and it just really made me grin with excitement throughout. Thank you Exit Door, it was so good!

Had great fun and came across some unique puzzles! It’s always a risk going somewhere with only a few reviews so it was a relief to find out that it was as quirky and unique as previously reviewed. Definitely worth adding onto any trips around Manchester area. Lovely host/owner too which is always a bonus! Looking forward to their next room.

Wow, such a fantastic find.. the hosts seemed to enjoy what they did, story and intro was great. Team split up to begin with, but quickly joined together, great puzzles which flowed perfectly.. unusually you're alloted 70minutes instead of the usual 60 because there's just so much to do.

Great room in such a remote area

Innovative and dynamic. Some fantastically well thought out puzzles with plenty of ah-ha moments. A unique set of challenges, both hi-tech and more traditional, which have to be seen to be enjoyed!

One of the best split starts I’ve played for a long while then opens up into an interesting game and story.  Some very innovative puzzles are balanced out by some tricky physical ones that could prove frustrating.  Similarly there is a lot of searching to do that could trip you up.  Even though we failed to escape we had a great time here and this is definitely one venue I will be keeping an eye on.
