A good room with a decent look to it, felt more like a squatters den, than the basement of a serial killer, but nonetheless, the room looked good. Some enjoyable puzzles with nothing too taxing. Worth the trip, but might be worth waiting for their second room to open so you can do both at the same time.

Imagine The Joker and The Riddler get together and set a trap for Batman, this is basically it, the theme is done extremely well, the puzzles are not all what you would expect from an escape room, and yet they are great fun. This was the first room of 3 that we did in Escape Hub, and quite simply, this game made me very happy. I honestly believe everyone needs to give this room a go.

Good looking room with 3 very different areas, a good mix of puzzles, very friendly game master, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The second room we played at Exciting Game Oxford, on the plus side I did not find myself fearing for our safety as we played the game. The decor was definitely an improvement, although torn wallpaper and a cracked mirror left the place looking mildly dilapidated, some ok puzzles, but nothing worth raving about. I would personally not lose any sleep if this room ceased to exist.

Honestly, I was just happy to get out of the room alive. Before I could even concentrate on the terrible decor of this room I was drawn to the electrical points that seemed to be hanging from the wall, and the wires that were all over the place in an unsightly mess. The room itself seemed to be stuck in a time loop, back in the late 90's, when I imagine the building was initially condemned. There were a few good puzzles, but unfortunately this was not able to save the room for me.

I honestly wouldn't recommend this room to anyone, experienced or nocice, it's an experience you can live without

The final room we completed at Escape Hub, and possibly the most dated feeling of all of them, that being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed it, the puzzles were pretty unique and interesting, with some stuff I've never come across before. The concept behind the setting could be better, with a better flow from section to section. I thought the puzzles themselves really made the room worthwhile, and worth the effort, this was my least favourite of the 3 rooms, but, that shouldn't be taken as a negative, I just thought the other 2 were brilliant and blew this one out of the water.

Really well designed room, looked great really keeping to the theme of the room, games were challenging but not impossible, a very enjoyable experience

Played: 08/03/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: 54:00 Outcome: Successful escape!

My first game completed with my family, was always going to be challenging, we escaped, and nobody was killed, so for me, that's a huge win! The room is broken into 3 sections, the look of the second section was a bit of a let down for me, but the other 2 sections looked much better, an issue with a digi pad code taking a few attempts to work, making us question if it was correct, other than that some really good puzzles. Very much enjoyed what could have been an absolute disaster with my family

Played: 27/02/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: 39:00 Outcome: Successful escape!

A beautifully designed room really giving you the feel of being inside a magic shop, a good variety of puzzles, observation skills need to be on point, a truly magical experience!

The second room we did in our day out at Escape Basildon, a very different room, but equally impressive as the first, room designed beautifully, and looked amazing, some tricky puzzles, but all very good. Definitely worth the trip.

Played: 26/02/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: Outcome: Failed 🙁

A good looking room, but unfortunately for me the game itself did not flow. At least one puzzle that gave a dubious answer which I managed to read incorrectly every time (it just wasn't clear), some that seemed to have no direction or flow. A lot of toing and frowing from one section to the next made this game feel disjointed, very much saved by the aesthetics of the room.

Played: 26/02/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: 39:40 Outcome: Successful escape!

A game that with larger groups can be split so that 2 teams go head to head, but as there were only 2 of us we just played together against the clock, I think we may have been able to complete it solo. Not as much time spent on the design of the room as some of the others here, but the puzzles themselves were very enjoyable, I think this room would have been even better with another team against us, but still thoroughly enjoyable

Played: 26/02/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: 59:41 Outcome: Successful escape!

Not the most elegant of rooms you'll play, but looks OK, some good puzzles, but also some bits which were easily overlooked, the first half of the room definitely looked more impressive than the second half, user error with a pretty ancient tv/dvd player meant that one code couldn't be learned in the desired way. A quirky game that felt a bit dated now and could do with a revamp.

This was the first room we did at Clue HQ Brentwood, and it left me feeling a little flat, was it a bad room? No, but it didn't fill me with joy either. The look of the room was OK, not spectacular, but it fit the bill, there were a couple of puzzles or hiding spots that I did not enjoy, one of which goes against what you are told in every other escape room, and therefore went unnoticed for some time. There were some positives, the theming was pretty good, and there were a few good puzzles, so, not too bad and still worth a visit at the right price, and if you are going to complete multiple rooms.

Time penalties were given for each clue given which is the only downside for Escape Reality, however, we escaped within the 60 minutes we were given, so I'm taking it as a win.

A good looking room, with good puzzles, this was the last of 4 for us, I thoroughly enjoyed it, we could have, and probably should have made it easier for ourselves, but despite that we got through. The iPad with time penalties for clues is probably the only downside for me.

Played: 16/02/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: Outcome: Successful escape!
The iPad system with time penalties for each clue were a downside for me in this game, but one I am able to look past.

A game that left me with a distinct dislike of sloths, but nevertheless was very enjoyable. 3 very different sections with an array of puzzles, a push in the right direction for a particular puzzle would be helpful, but I stumbled upon the answer by chance. Worth the trip, especially as there are 8 rooms in total here, so you can get a few in together.

A good looking room with a good theme that ran well from one section to the next. Some enjoyable puzzles that really got us thinking, there was one reset issue where a cupboard wasn't closed, meaning that we wasted a bit of time trying to work out what completing a certain had done, despite that, it was a good room and one I enjoyed.

The first of 4 in our day in Coventry, an enjoyable room that really gave the feeling of a run down asylum. Some very clever puzzles that got you thinking a little outside of the box, if you can look past the iPad system and time penalties it is well worth a visit.

Played: 10/02/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: Outcome: Failed 🙁

I love a challenge, and this was certainly that, despite not completing the room I thoroughly enjoyed it, which is odd, as I really like winning, beautiful looking room, really well themed, some good and challenging puzzles, apparently we only got around 2/3 of the way through, may return to replay this one when I've had time to forget the puzzles a bit more, as I'd like to see it to the end.

Played: 10/02/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: Outcome: Successful escape!

A really well designed room really fitting in with the theme, some tricky puzzles, but a really good variety of puzzles. 4 distinct sections which kept all 4 of us busy throughout. Thoroughly worth the visit.

Played: 10/02/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: Outcome: Successful escape!

A well themed, good looking room, 4 different sections that keep well with the theme. One puzzle that was not clear exactly what it did, but was important to getting through, some way of better knowing what you have done would be better. Ultimately though, this is quickly forgotten due to the presence of a cannon!

Played: 30/11/18 Team size: 2 Time taken: 54:33 Outcome: Successful escape!

A small but beautiful room, decor looked good, had some good puzzles, a good way to start my day in Gravesend

Played: 30/11/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: Outcome: Failed 🙁

A beautiful looking room, which has saved the rating for me, the game itself I did not enjoy, less of an escape room, as the goal is to answer questions that appear in intervals on a screen, needing to get a % right, all whilst trying to solve clues to get the information for the questions, maybe it was just too much for 2 people, it was definitely too much for us. A good room if you want something a little different to your normal escape room, but not one for me.

Played: 30/11/19 Team size: 2 Time taken: 57:24 Outcome: Successful escape!

This was my favourite game from my day out in Gravesend, it wasn't the prettiest room we played, however it did still look good, and look the part, but it was definitely the most fun, a good variety of puzzles meant there was no chance of boredom, and a room that required good teamwork, thoroughly enjoyable.

Played: 30/11/18 Team size: 4 Time taken: 19:38 Outcome: Successful escape!

A room in a van, good for the space available, some good puzzles, a good little time filler between rooms.

Played: 30/11/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: 39:14 Outcome: Successful escape!

A well designed and good looking room, some really good puzzles, some a little different to the norm, a very nice room.

Played: 07/10/19 Team size: 4 Time taken: Outcome: Successful escape!

A good looking room with 3 sections, each one very much keeping in line with the theme. Some good puzzles, requiring you to think a little outside the box for a couple, completed with 4 people, definitely achievable with 2, a good game which I enjoyed

Played: Team size: 2 Time taken: Outcome: Successful escape!

A good looking room, a technical issue meant the room had to be reset part way through the game for us, without that my score would have been higher. Still, some good puzzles and a good looking room that I enjoyed.

Played: 04/10/15 Team size: 6 Time taken: 43:00 Outcome: Successful escape!

My first ever escape room experience, too long ago to give it a full review, I remember enjoying it, and really, that's all that matters
