Wow! Another excellent room by Trip Trap!
We conjured our own ideas based on the illustration and itâs fair to say that we were wrong! Without giving much away, youâd have to be psychic to know what adventure lay ahead.
We started off with a puzzle which we didnât feel was necessarily fitting/relevant but nevertheless I love a good hunt!
The mode of storytelling is comedic and fitting, done beautifully to make you truly feel like part of the story and gives you a nice moment to pause and collect your thoughts in between bouts of action and adventure.
Now, there is something to consider when booking, and although I would never like to give spoilers, I feel I must mention this as discretely as possible. There is a part within the room where you are asked to split up. As we played as a two, we were told to stay together. Well when we asked at the end what happens to groups, letâs just say we would have been incredibly disappointed had we been the person/group that âstayed behindâ. By speaking to the GM, it would appear that one group would go on an excellent yet short adventure (one of our favourite parts of the experience) whilst the others stay to complete a puzzle which we found incredibly frustrating. The puzzle ended with us simply looking at the camera saying âis it this? Yes or no?â, repeating for a series of objects. Now I feel I must add this in here as this is the only element that brings it down from a 5 star room, but also to allow groups to avoid disappointment by being strategic in who they appoint to stay behind.
The rest of the adventure continued with beautiful puzzles and magical environments, enough to appease any enthusiast.
Sincerely, this is another must play room, and with some mild tweaking, this would have been on par with Aunt Hildaâs and Madame Suzette.
