Beverley Breakout: The Great Toy Rescue

This room was a delight to play. So many little touches that really added aesthetically to the room. Several puzzles in here I had never seen before and the ending especially was a lot of fun and very cute. Only a few clues needed but they came through at the perfect time, not too early before we’d had a chance to work it out but also not so late that we’d got frustrated. We played this room as 2 adults but there is a lot to do for families with little kids as well. All in all a fun and fantastic room 

Amazing. Loved this room from the get go. I am a big kid, and love toys, and this room, you ARE a toy, looking for other toys. Amazing. Fran, our host, was amazing, really chatty and extremely welcoming. The room itself was great, surprises, challenges, toys to play with...it had it all. We were annoyed at ourselves for not bringing out toddler with us, because he would have loved just being in the room. 

Lovely little storyline, that I think, if someone asked me, i would play again. 

Great family friendly game. Not too tricky or ambiguous.  Good signposting from one puzzle to the next.

Another great room from Beverley Breakout. We loved this for its originality and the plethora of puzzles. A lot of fun that would be accessible for families as well as enthusiasts like us. Great puzzles and a fabulous final puzzle that we really enjoyed.

Great hosting. A really great place. Very friendly. The owner has said to me multiple times, don’t get your hopes up and each time I tell them not to put themselves down. I’ve played 2 of their rooms so far and trying to find some time for the rest. They’re fun, great rooms, with great flow, original puzzles and great and friendly hosting. It’s everything you expect from a great escape room business

Another amazing room. Perfect for kids again. Owner so friendly. A lot simpler than Goblins but still so much fun

A good fun room with a good range of puzzles. Hosting is excellent. 

Really enjoyed playing this room. The theming is fantastic and there are some really good original puzzles in it which we have not seen before. The rooms flows well and there are some good surprises along the way. The last puzzle is a really fun challenge. Excellent hosting and we cannot wait to go back to try the other rooms!

Final Comments

I was a little adamant on asking for no clues (too many Games Masters hand-holding through them), and so we finished it a minute or two over the hour- but still had an enjoyable time. Take a team of 4 or 5. Our host was very chatty and enthusiastic.

Quite liked this. The theme was great and fun and I really liked a couple of the puzzles that had good dexterity aspects to them. A decent room worth doing.

Would be perfect for kids and the aesthetic was a nice change from the usual themes.

An bad pink bear has taken some toys prisoner and you have to save them!  Taking inspiration from an animated series of movies, stories about Toys if you would, we have a fun filled children's play room where we need to rescue them.  Little ones will love this and some puzzles feel like it's geared to our younger players which is just fantastic.  There's a lot to like in this room, there's a couple of dexterity based puzzles that may take one or two attempts but just take your time and you will be fine. 

Great family-friendly game with nods to a number of classic films.  Lots of fun to play and great hosting.

Fran as always, was an excellent host. My 7 year old still talks about the fact she told us over the clue system to listen to him as he was right 😀 

Whether you are a young child, teen or simply young at heart, the Great Toy Rescue is a fun, feel-good room which guarantees a joyous experience. Just like any child's playtime, the experience is very much non-linear (after the first section of the game) and there is an eclectic mix of number, word, physical and observational puzzles which enable you to replicate the excitement and giddiness of a child. Signposting is once again thorough and prescriptive and there is a lovely finale to this room which I wanted to repeat time and time again. Throughout the game, there are some lovely 'wow' moments which are creative yet logical. This room is accessible to all and as per all Beverley Breakout rooms, you can set your level of difficulty before playing. Fran was an exceptional host who truly understands the needs of players: clues were perfect and were delivered at ideal moments in the game. Similarly, Fran spent a significant amount of time with us to talk us through the room's construction and future plans. Overall, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend this room.
