I really enjoyed this room. I'm not a fan of spooky/scary rooms, but this one was done very well with the immersion. Theming was well done and kept the story relevant throughout the room.I enjoyed the puzzles and everything was well labelled without being too obvious, so you weren't staring at something for ages before you had all the bits you needed. Had a unique way of taking notes, by using whiteboard markers and a plastic covering over parts you'd want to write on, which I thought was a good way of doing it.

Very well themed room, and uses handcuffs in a more fun way that I haven't seen before. It does rely on good communication and each person in the room pulling their weight. Thoroughly enjoyed it and there were some original puzzles in there.
We just expected a little bit more from it. As when thinking about it, there were really only 3/4 actual puzzles in there, they just needed to be repeated couple times. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing as we still enjoyed ourselves and they were interesting enough. But we didn't end the room feeling "is that it?". Host/Owner was lovely and we did enjoy our time with his dog Hovis.

I thought this was a really fun theme for a room, that just fell a little flat. As a team of 5, some of us at times did feel like we weren't doing anything except watching others at some points. And we all came out of it at the end expecting more. The puzzles in the first room were great and very well done, and if it had been that level across all parts then it would've been a much better experience. So if doing it as an experienced escape room group, do it with less players.
I will give credit for booking the room, I personally dislike rooms where the puzzle is that it's dark. But Cryptology has an option when booking for an "after dark" mode where the rooms lighting is off and you must navigate using torches. We played with standard lighting, but I did enjoy that it was an option rather than forced.
Slightly creepy first room, but nothing actually jump scary. Spooky not scary as they describe it.

Recommended team size from website is 4+, but we were allowed to play as a 3 due to previous escape room experience. Definitely felt like there was enough to do in the room as a 3 so larger groups would get on well with it. It was very well themed and enjoyed the story of the room, especially with the ending. None of the puzzles felt repetitive or overused and there was enough sign posting in the room for things to make sense without being glaringly obvious. My only gripe is that some of the cupboards didn't open without (what I would consider) excessive force and we missed couple things early on because we weren't pushing hard enough. We basically had to get a clue for "hit it harder", which resulted in a teammate just punching it for it to open.
The games host, Johnathan, was excellent though and we had a good chat between our game. Definitely sold the experience to us.
