This room had so much potential. It's a great theme and probably was a really good room when it first opened. Problem is that now half of the puzzles are just a little bit worn or broken, or patched together, when they could easily and cheaply be fixed.
The rooms are within a bowling alley / arcade. The host wasn't there on time, and seemed more interested in just hanging out with her colleagues. It seemed like an inconvenience that we wanted to do a room. There was a door open that wasn't supposed to be, and it mysteriously closed halfway through.
There was next to no introduction other than "put on these life jackets" so it was unclear what the end goal was.
The puzzles were not always logical, we don't normally need hints but had to ask many times. One of the puzzles was "brute force" when every room tells you not to force anything, so that was annoying.
Even when we "escaped" we hadn't completed one puzzle, so I'm not sure if the host just wanted it over or what.
It's put me off doing any other rooms at the Nottingham venue but we'll give Houdini's another go somewhere else as they clearly had some initial budget to set up the room.
