After years of planning and excavations the tomb of the nefarious Ramses has finally been unearthed. But this is no tomb full of traps; it is a peerless conundrum full of strange machinations.
If you could manage to extract the three ancient relics rumoured to rest here you would become part of history, but you are not the only ones on the trail…
Your foreheads are drenched and the air is taut with fear. There is not much time for you to act before the unscruplious treasure hunters cross the desert and bury you alive just to claim the glory for themselves.
Will you lay your hands upon the relics of the past? And will you even be able to escape before the glocks are pointed to your heads? Your hourglass is running low…

Loved the fact the hosts/GM’s brief in character. Immediately helps with immersion if done well (which ours did). Setting and design is great with a great little clue system. We managed to complete the room in its entirety completing the bonus challenge. It’s a real step up from Cypheryne which after playing that I was dubious that I was in for poor day of escaping, how wrong was I?
Again, another reworking of a previous game when they were at a different venue, a good combination of both logic and physical puzzles follow as you find yourselves trying to escape an Egyptian tomb. There are varying levels of success to the room as to how many relics you retrieve before escaping but even escaping requires a steady hand..
Cryptology make the briefings great! They made a joke whether they are a Bavarian beer server, or Indiana Jones, a great intro, The game is very hands on, and Acluebis has to be the best clue system we have seen! Amazing game!
A really fun game that was let down slightly by a couple of challenges near the end. Expect a big, meandering set, reasonable decoration, fun puzzles and plenty to keep you occupied for most of your hour.
This is a room that would be perfect for those new to escape rooms or seasoned escapers. The puzzles were fun, the room was solid, and the sense of exploration was spot on. With different ‘win’ levels, it works for everyone regardless of experience level.
Next up in our Cryptology-a-thon was Rameseize, which we want to give an award to for the best name for an Egyptian themed room! As you may expect, with this room you are tasked with ransacking Rameses’ tomb to ‘seize’ three ancient relics before your rival treasure hunters catch you up and bury you alive in the tomb to claim the treasure for themselves. As usual, no pressure then hey!
