Bites Motel is just an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance is spot on, the puzzles are challenging but not too difficult and our host engaged with our team just the right amount to create tension without making the whole experience too scary (1 of our team refuses to play scary games and she said it was her favourite game she's ever played).

Bites Motel makes an impression as soon as you arrive - few games blur the line between outside and inside, between lobby and game space, quite as effectively as this one. We arrived by foot in a sunny Madrid suburb, but once inside we were in a world where we’d driven up to a rundown motel late in the evening in a remote corner of the US.

Bites Motel is of course based on the movie Psycho, and our host introduced himself as Norman, launching the story and the immersion right from the start. Yo...

When looking at the trip schedule, it’s usually easy to predict which games will be the highlights, the memorable and great rooms that will stand out.

I must admit, neither of us expected Bites Motel to be one of those. However, we realized our mistake instantly, as we entered the venue.

First of all, the lobby is mind blowingly awesome, and perfect for the room.
The room is definitely impressive. Its size is great, and its puzzles are simply fantastic, a few of them are some of my favourite ones I’ve seen in a short while. The horror aspect of Psycho, on which the room is based, isn’t really there, allowing non-horror fans to enjoy the game too.
