Bonkers in every sense of the word. Everything was themed incredibly and every puzzle made thematic sense to the development of a baby. I never thought that I would be born again but now I have in puzzle form. Some excellent uses of the five senses, funny moments and great solid puzzles. Easily deserving of the TERPECA nominations it has. Highly recommend!

Second and, alas, last (for now) adventure played with the hosts of Mad Machines.

The scenography is spectacularly functional to the story! Everything, absolutely everything, inside the room is created and designed according to the plot, that is, the entire journey from the moment of conception, through pregnancy to birth. The story is performed in a sublime way, without ever falling into the vulgar, but rather maintaining an always playful tone.

To try at least once in a lifetime!

It’s always an encouraging sign when a venue creates games based on something a bit more unusual, instead of doing a prison break, lab or spaceship; and Mad Machines have build a game around a premise that I’ve not seen anywhere else in the world. ‘Escape the womb’ is a concept that could so easily be done horrendously badly - but fortunately they’ve created something quite glorious instead.
Which is not to say that it’s in careful good taste. Rather, it’s in delightfully poor taste. Humour is ...

Try the impossible! That is Dr. Mad’s motto and that’s exactly what he has achieved with his latest invention. No one can remember their birth, so wouldn’t it be phenomenal if we knew exactly how it all happened? Thanks to the Doctor’s incredible Birth Machine, we are now able to experience our birth again consciously, from the baby’s perspective. The whole process takes, how could it be otherwise, 9 months or 40 weeks.

From beginning to end, Birth Machine is pure fun and perhaps the most amusing idea for an escape room setting. The loving design and challenging puzzles are excellently integrated into the story. Every element in the gameplay has significance, even if it’s only metaphorical. Embarking on this perfectly orchestrated experience with light, sound, and decor guarantees both smoking brains and smiling faces. As a couple, the game presents more of a challenge, but with a swift threesome or foursome, you’ll be at a clear advantage.
