The SS Clementine is an old but beloved starship known for its technical problems. When the internal system fails mid-flight, the crew is forced to make an emergency crash landing on a nearby planet. Power cells have come loose during the bumpy landing, and many of the ship’s systems have been knocked offline. You are the engineering team assigned to repair the ship and save the crew - can you become the valiant Star Crew and save the day before time runs out?

I cannot emphasise just how fun this room is - I’ve been waiting to play it for ages since I found out Escape Reality had let their own staff design two rooms, and it lives up to every hope for what that could mean for a room. Funny, inventive, immersive and just joyful to play.

This is the second room at Escape Reality Glasgow which has been entirely designed and built by the team at the site. They've taken what they learned building the conspiracy room (which is a much better play than most of the official Escape Reality rooms at Glasgow) and they've made a really fun family room with Star Crew.

Its not a challenging room for enthusiasts, but the gameplay flows really well and theres a nice variety of puzzles in there. The game opens up to allow players to work on several puzzles at once. What is most impressive is that the room is mostly made from recycled materials, their innovation to make puzzles and props is very creative.  Its a fun room and well worth a play.

I really am impressed with Escape Reality and this room has immediately gone on my roster of “rooms to recommend to people when they travel to Scotland”. It’s an especially good one to take folks who have never played an escape room before, because it perfectly encapsulates what makes escape rooms so damn good. The immersive sets, the non-linear collaborative nature, the roleplay. For our particular team it was a little easy, and we felt like we finished about 30 minutes earlier than we would have wanted to do. As such, if an enthusiast did want to play, it’s maybe better to book as 2 or 3 maximum. But that aside, if you find yourself travelling out to Glasgow, put Star Crew on your list.
