Hate to be so down on a game, but this had no magic or fun. The puzzles were boring and uninspired. It was the case of searching everywhere and riddles/needing some outside knowledge. 

Hints had to come as nothing was clearly signposted. Considering the price and playing loudini’s recently, this was an embarrassment! 

The Mecca of UK escape rooms. It certainly met expectation. I can see why they lead the way and enthusiasts seek them out. The stories are true. Elaine was a delight! 

The room was absolutely gorgeous and was in awe of the size/craftsmanship. 

Not five stars on basis of the lock heavy aspect. Puzzles were quite different to others we have played and challenged us as a group. Just one puzzle left us hanging. We should have noticed it! 

Absolute puzzle fest. Worked so well for our group. I loved every moment, running around, devouring any puzzle available to me. Some subtle, others blatantly obvious to those paying attention. Lots of fun and worth checking out if puzzles are your thing. 

Played it safe with level 2 as some of team are less adventurous. Nonetheless it didn’t take anything away from the creepy vibe and scary interludes. We’ve played stay in the dark and has a connective tissue with this game. Certainly worth a go and the setting is perfect for the room. Really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend.

This is a difficult review. I think anticipation hurt this one. Hearing nothing but wonderful things. Some of the puzzles were clever and the design was top notch. 

I think the GM was too trigger happy with prompts and clues - also the padlocks didn’t fit overly well with the theme. We like to take our time in rooms but it all felt a little too rushed. Such a shame. Of course everyone’s mileage will vary.

A real highlight of our trip. Owner was gracious and engaging. Would recommend to anyone to play. Still smiling from it. 

Didn’t know what to expect but we had a couple in our party more susceptible to scares. That made even more interesting. 

The puzzles were different and kept the creepy feel. Lots of team work which was a plus. 

Such amazing owners, who really love escape rooms.  Definitely worth a stop. 

A-maz-ing - Even Craig Revel Horwood would give it a 10.  Easily in our top 3 ever. 

Just book it if you can. Feel very lucky we managed to book a time in our busy schedule. 

Thoroughly enjoyed my time in this room. Didn’t care how long we were taking - I was distracted by all the nostalgia hits. Amazing finish too! Beware some puzzles you can’t do right away. Loved it and the soundtrack. 

Nice to see a family run business and the set they have created was polished and immersive. The issue for our group was the fun factor. The puzzles just didn’t work for us. They were a little uninspired and lacked variety/intrigue. A real shame. 

First room of our 11 room stint and it was a great start. The room just made sense and flowed so well. It’s non linear setup plays to our strengths as a group of 4. No hints needed which shows how well the experience has been constructed. Great owners. Definitely recommend seeking out. 

Fun room with lots to feast your eyes on. We prefer the their other room but has a family vibe to it. Doesn’t take itself too seriously. Needed some hints here and there, so kept us on track. Great team and team original game. 

My favourite of the three rooms. Well crafted, nice attention to detail and the puzzles flowed very well. Not at all disappointed based on the reviews I had read. I was hoping for an epic finale but felt it really didn’t achieve that. Spoilt by similar rooms in Europe. 

The main plus was the GM Aimee. They were amazing. Very funny, personalised the experience and loved their interactions. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you for a wonderful time. 

One of Pier Pressures’ newest games. The theming was good, some different puzzles and a lot of team work encouraged. The GM was fun and kept wonderfully in character. The set and lead up was a little under developed given it is a relatively new. Fun room for family fun. 

This worked so well going from the first to the second. As the reveal is cleverly put together. The room followed similar rules and logic as the first. We saw it more as a continuation. Encourage to split up and conquer. Worth a play if in the area! Good fun. 

Candyland 1 and 2 was played back to back. The first part of our journey was about saving the production of 4 sweets. It started fairly linear and then branched to the 4 different machines. The room had props, searching and links between solving puzzles. It was colourful and entertaining. We were 58 seconds from the fastest time and didn’t expect it as we don’t normally worry about time! 

It’s a very difficult game to rate, as it is very different to other experiences we have played. It definitely has the fun and feel good factor. Everything seems to be themed very well and great attention to detail. I agree that some of the props are tired but that didn’t let the experience down for us. I guess, we all agreed the set would have been better bigger. But did well with the space given. I think any age and experience level will love this game, maybe not for those looking for a tough challenge. 

A very enthusiastic games master and very insightful. The game was beautifully designed and some fun mechanics involved. I can imagine kids would love this! The puzzles were on the easier side for us but still satisfying as lots of teamwork involved. Probably our favourite of the day in Broadstairs. Definitely recommend. 

A great game and worth coming this way to play. The GM was straight in character and kept us immersed from the off. The room had challenging elements but it all made sense. The puzzles were well thought out and flowed well. Non linear which I love too. A great ending. 

Our first Christmas room, in August! Didn’t make a difference as fully taken in by the experience. Love the fact that much of the start is non linear and naturally can split off to what takes your eye. Note not all puzzles are solvable straight away. I would recommend using a hint otherwise would miss out! Fun and unexpected ending. Brad was a great host too and joined in with our banter.  

Roo and Charlotte, the hosts, were brilliant. Very inviting and captured the mood instantly. The room is very well designed and use of actor integral to the story. It was probably on the easier side for us as a little more experienced, we don’t even tend to focus on times so surprised we finished so early. Story had great flow and puzzles made sense! 

Was inspired to play this room based on Stacey’s post. So glad I did. The game was so much fun! It hit the sweet spot for us as we got the game references. I agree, happily be in top 10 due to the fun factor. Amazing host Jamie who took the experience up another notch. Play this game! 

I would avoid as it doesn’t make any sense or no flow to the game. 

Absolutely great use of space and the setting is fantastic. So unexpected from the first look.

Such fun. Have to be silly in places. Very much enjoyed this room. 

I wouldn’t have this in the top experiences as the puzzles seemed less logical for me. Great game and still worth doing if in Hamburg. Just didn’t strike the same cord as others. 

This is such a fun concept. It’s a joy to play. The ending and the use of a prop is brilliant. Would really encourage people to play if in Berlin. 

A authentic escape room experience. Loved the start, intro. The room is immaculate and immersive. The puzzles all seem to make sense and are fairly logical. No real wow moment as such. Just great puzzles. 

This is an experience I will never forget. Not an escape room as such, more of an immersive horror adventure. Please throw yourself in and play the part. It will really help you get the most out of it. Clever use of an actor. 

I’ve never been so scared in an experience like this. Fun and scary at the same time.  

They only have the lease for the building six months at a time so could go at any point.

Note that if you struggle to crawl or climb, there may be a few obstacles you will find difficult to traverse. 

Great experience. Clever use of actors and clue system if needed. Dramatic and very immersive. I thought the ending was unique and you need to throw yourself in completely. 

Lucky enough to have access to the owner after the room. So much heart and soul invested in the room. Has a lot of pride in what he does. 

The room is excellent in terms of design and use of puzzles. Many surprises. Great ending too. 

Top room and incredible space. A must do room. Expect to race against the clock as a lot to do in the hour. 

It started so wonderfully with the aesthetic but lost it's charm a bit as we delve deeper into the room. The puzzles flowed well but probably not as successful as the other two rooms presently there. Still worth a play if visiting Timetrap. Maddy was very nice and accommodating as GM. 

What a beautiful room. From the very beginning to the very end, it was such an immersive experience. The GM Tom was very entertaining and engaging. Made the experience even better! This was our favourite room out of them all. We had one snag on a puzzle, but didn't take away from the enjoyment. Highly recommend. 

Fantastic room. Loved the theming and the puzzles. All worked very well. Would encourage all to seek out this room. 

Went to Warrington with some colleagues (many their first time playing an escape room) and they had a great time with this room. Considering the buzz on here, I was expecting a little more spectacle, but worth visiting nonetheless. We all had to work together and was a non-linear game. They tend to be my preference, especially with groups greater than 2/3. I would certainly if this game a playthrough if close by. 

Preferred this room due to the puzzles and non linear nature. Great team work needed. Some funny moments too! 

We had a great time. Set was amazing and immersive. Great team working elements. 

Great game, funny puns and really got into the spirit. The GM was great too. This is certainly about the atmosphere and not the puzzles! 

The start and look is great. The puzzles just doesn’t live up to it. I would recommend this game for kids but don’t think it would satisfy an escape room enthusiast. 

I don’t want to be too harsh but it really didn’t deliver the experience we were after. Especially having played a similar room elsewhere, it paled in comparison. The game master didn’t really care or engage. The room was very basic when it came to puzzles. The look was good but very dark, especially with only two torches but 4 of us. Some of sets in the room were damaged. We escape with 20 minutes to spare. I would look to give this a miss and play one of other rooms instead.
