First thing we really liked about this room was the clue system. It was all done on a large screen, with a sound playing whenever something was displayed. I much prefer this, as it's sometimes hard to hear the clues if it's a walkie talkie/PA system.

Our host was lovely, although due to her giving the clues via the screen, we had very little interaction with her.

The theming of this room was spot on - it's definitely a lab! The props and puzzles were lab themed, some more difficult than others.

Some of the puzzles in this room were completely new to us, which is always fun.

Good theme, fun puzzles, you even get to wear a lab coat! 😂

This was our first ever room. And we've been hooked ever since.

Our GM was brilliant straight away, getting right into character and giving us the back story. She was also very helpful when we had to ring her for help (which considering this was our first room, wasn't that many!).

We had no idea what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Initially stood in the middle of the room feeling clueless, but in no time at all got stuck right in figuring it all out!

The theme was brilliant, fantastic set. We got completely stuck on a couple of red herrings, and massively overthought one puzzle which turned out to be very basic. The puzzles were just the right level for first timers in my opinion as we got out with around 6 minutes to spare.

Fantastic experience and it got me hooked!

We really enjoyed this room. The theming of the room is brilliant. Some of the things we encountered in this room we had never seen before - very clever puzzles!

Our GM was lovely, and very helpful. Clues were given via a walkie talkie, which did keep picking up interference from elsewhere which was quite distracting unfortunately.

Lovely, lovely bloke that runs these games. Very enthusiastic and passionate about escape rooms.

The room took us by surprise, as it was in darkness and took us a while to figure out there were torches behind us 🤦🏼‍♀️

There was no real theme to the room. Yes, the aim is to find magic-related objects, but in terms of the room and the setting, its a dark room with some glow in the dark stickers and some vaguely magic related items in a cabinet. It's a plain room, with the odd related item.

The puzzles and tasks we had in this room weren't like any others we've done - but not necessarily in a good way.

All in all, it felt a bit basic. Which is a shame, as the owner was clearly very passionate about his hobby.

This is their chocolate fix room but with Christmas decorations and Christmas clues. The theme was still very much chocolate factory, but at Christmas.

Having done their Archibald's legacy room we expected something a bit better than we got.

In terms of difficulty, it was mainly easy, but one puzzle had us stumped due to faded writing, so we couldn't actually see what we were meant to. We had my MIL with us for this one, it was her first room, and she got most of the puzzles without our assistance or help from the GM. Unfortunately some of the puzzles were very basic, meaning it was a bit boring for us.

The GM was great, very friendly and helpful. Hints were through a walkie talkie, although the walkie talkie did repeatedly pick up other conversations and whatnot when not in use!

Our GM was brilliant - poor bloke was running 5 rooms alone yet was still with us in no time if we needed him.

The theming of the room was good  (very Game of Thrones). The theme followed through every section of the room. It was good, although some bits were maybe a bit cheap.

One thing we loved about this company was the tablet for QR scanning for hints and clues - we'd never had this before and thought this was great. Our GM was also on hand if needed, by pressing a switch that lit something at the desk letting him know that we required assistance. The GM coming into the room to assist did kind of break the immersive experience, but we knew this before we booked so we can't complain!

We didn't need a lot of help for this room - any help we did need was because, as usual, I had failed to search thoroughly. There were some interesting puzzles, things we hadn't seen before.

Will definitely return to Escape Reality to do some of their other rooms.

Amazing setting as soon as you enter the room. Fantastic theming continues throughout - probably one of the best sets we've seen. Brilliantly done.

The puzzles however were very hit and miss. We got the usual briefing about not using force etc, however, I would argue that some level of force is required for one of the first tasks.

The tasks in the second part of the game made absolutely no sense to us whatsoever, we got them by pure luck I think. There was no logic, or explanation as to how to complete the puzzles.

On reaching the next stage of the room the puzzles made much more sense and we were able to complete these with no trouble.

Overall, the setting was epic, but the puzzles were baffling. We will do the other rooms there just to see the set of the rooms if nothing else!

Firstly, our host was brilliant. Very in character as the Cheshire Cat - really entertained us.

In terms of difficulty, this room wasn't that hard - a lot of the puzzles/tasks were clear. Although one task involved lying on the floor, which we definitely weren't expecting 😂

The theme was unmistakable - Alice in Wonderland (Puzzleland!). The whole room set up was completely on theme, as were the tasks/puzzles.

We had a great time playing this room and can't wait to go back and play the others at Resorts World.

Original puzzles, fantastic theming, great host.

As seems to be the case with Cyber Q, not a padlock based game.

Not overly difficult, we only used hints when I had been too stupid to search things properly. And because we forgot a vital piece of info we were given in the briefing, so our difficulties were our own fault!

This was our first room at Cyber Q. Great experience, we went back later that day to do another!

The theming of the room was fantastic, the layout, the surroundings, lighting, sounds effects - fantastic.

Not a padlock based room (there's one of two keys but everything else is action dependant).

Our GM Julia was lovely, very friendly, very helpful.

We got through most of this room without any assistance from GM, with some very creative puzzles and tasks that we hadn't encountered before.

We needed assistance with one puzzle but I don't know if that was because of the difficulty or our eyesight!

We didn't manage to complete this room within the 60 minutes, but Julia said we were so close to the end she would give us the additional couple of minutes to finish. Shortly after saying this, Julia appeared in the room with us, not to end our game, but to help us with the final task as it turns out it is a 3 person job and physically impossible to do with 2 unless you are superhuman. It is advertised as recommending minimum of 3, but I took no notice - my bad!

Great room - can't wait to go back and try more of the rooms at Cyber Q

Brilliantly themed and set up room - there's no mistaking it's a pirate ship! The surroundings and puzzles were perfectly on theme.

This was only our second or third room so most of the puzzles were new to us, but still easy enough to complete as a team of 2 newbies. There was one task that we just could not do - even with a clue from the GM we just could not recreate the sound correctly, in the end we asked for help again, eventually reaching a solution. But good luck with that if you're like us and completely tone deaf. Also, when we went back and did the room next to this one, we could still hear that particular task, that sound haunts us 😂

Overall, brilliant room, brilliant theme, brilliant puzzles, brilliant GM.

OFH is a brilliant room - I think our GM kinda ruined it for us.

Theming and puzzles - brilliant. Theme completely went with the aim of the game. Puzzles were related to the objective.

Hosting - not sure he was actually paying attention as we completed a task and was told to re-do it, putting everything in exactly the same place as before, only this time he was paying attention!

Difficulty - the GM told us this was the hardest game at Escape Hunt, we were challenged enough, but didn't find it impossible. I think I hindered us by rushing and not reading properly (sounds effects and time warnings really add to the pressure) and the GM didn't help by missing a couple of actions that we had completed.

Not a padlock heavy room, so ideal if you prefer action based results rather than keys and codes.

Great room, just needed the GM to be on the ball

The theming of this room is brilliant, it all makes sense and the theme follows from room to room.

The puzzles were all related to the theme, with some original puzzles that we'd never encountered before.

Our GM was brilliant and very quick to assist when we needed it (I think we only had one clue, but she pointed us in the right direction without just straight up telling us the answer).

In terms of difficulty I don't think it was that hard, just the one task that had us stumped.

Great room, great host, give it a go.

Outcome: Failed :-(

Escape Hunt rooms are always brilliant - but this one was maybe just too much for just the 2 of us.

The first bit of the room was fine, breezed through that no problem. But the second bit was quite time consuming. One task/puzzle took a very long time to complete as the equipment was just not quite up to scratch, had definitely seen better days.

The theming was ok. The puzzles were a bit nonsensical and were clearly too much for us as we failed to escape! Our GM reckoned we were about 5 mins away from finishing.

Definitely not our favourite and has put us off trying any more at Houdini's!

The very first puzzle we encountered a problem (vital information missing) and had to call for help straight away. This continued throughout, at least 3 times we had to ask for help because something wasn't working as it should, which was really disappointing.

The GM was lovely, and very happy to help, but sometimes his clues relied on us having prior knowledge of the Titanic (which I am lacking!).

The clues are via an old style telephone, meaning if you have made it beyond the initial room it can be time consuming to get back to get help.

The theming of the room was fantastic! The decor, details and sound effects were brilliant.

The puzzles and clues were clever and original (some things in there we'd never seen before) it's such a shame that some just didn't work.

We got a little ribbon trinket for successfully escaping which was a nice touch but it doesn't make up for the broken room!

First of all, nice GM, although very softly spoken so her clues were difficult to hear over the music.

Well themed room, even just the entrance to the room from the corridor, there was no mistaking it was a Sherlock theme.

In terms of difficulty, we were told that teams of 6 often fail to escape, so to do it as a 2 we had done well. The puzzles/riddles were mainly well thought out but a couple just made no sense whatsoever and we needed help.

We did enjoy the room, but the couple of illogical puzzles kinda spoilt it for us.

Brilliant room with lovely hosts!

Standard office set up, with a second room to be unlocked.

Lots of items to find and use and not always immediately obvious what you need something for! We had cracked one clue, but then we came to need it we forgot that we'd come across it as there's lots of bits and bobs to figure out and use.

The clue system of the screen is very handy - I sometimes find walkie talkies etc difficult to hear or understand so to have the clues on screen was very handy (although the only clues we used were because we just hadn't searched thoroughly enough!)

None of the puzzles were too tricky but would still maybe be a little too much for a complete newbie.

Can't wait to go back and do their second room!
