Ice Tiki was the most fun I've ever had in an escape room--such humor in the use of music, the way the hints work, the need to wear socks, and the central role of a ball pit. It was physically exhausting and laugh-out-loud funny.

I wouldn't recommend the room to anyone who is claustrophobic...the ball pit is deep and you have to crawl through a tight space multiple times. But aside from that word of caution, this is a unique and must-do room.

This is my new favorite escape room--worth a trip to Athens all in its own, though the other two Paradox Project rooms are very nearly as good. We were in the room for a total of FOUR HOURS, which sounds interminable, but the puzzles and immersion are so good that the time spent feels exactly right. The start of the game is immediately immersive--no chatting with a host and dealing with payment and rules and all that, just open a door off the street, and you're in the bookstore. The use of space was creative, the sheer number of rooms was incredible, the puzzles were fantastic and many of them unique. In terms of logistics for the game: we played it in English, and there was access to a bathroom and the option to take a break midway.

So difficult to give this a rating, because I think the room is exceptional at what it does: scare the living daylights out of you in a HUGE immersive venue with multiple spaces and music\lighting\live actors to ensure you remain thoroughly terrified throughout. I didn't enjoy it--from now on, I'll stick to rooms that are benign! But I absolutely appreciate the artistry, the production, the construction...everything that went into making this something I never want to do again!

In normal lighting, without live actors and without the thunderingly loud, stress-inducing music, the puzzles would be fairly run-of-the-mill. But they were very challenging in this setting.
