We had great fun in the lanes. Hosting was brilliant and kept in character the whole time. Lots of different puzzle types to keep you busy. One of the best rooms we’ve played. 

Quite a difficult room with a unique mechanism. Lots of different puzzle types and original tech. Out team all enjoyed it and would recommend to enthusiasts.

The only issue we had was the walls are thin and the Butcher is next door and you could hear everything that was happening in there which was distracting. 

A little different from your normal escape room, a bit more of an experience crossed with an escape room. We had great fun, the room flowed well and had great use of tech. The room itself is a little tight in places and get warm,  but we got through it and had lots of fun!

Quite an easy room with some interesting puzzles (reflected in our escape time), I felt it needed a few more puzzles and ended quite abruptly. The location made the room feel a little creepy/atmospheric, a linear room and I would take a small team as you’re all crowded around the same puzzle. 

A fast paced room, essentially it’s 5 mini escape rooms, all different to each other with some unique puzzles we hadn’t seen before. 

Great hosting, lots of different puzzles, it is slightly cramped in some areas particularly as we’re on the larger size but we managed and successfully escaped.

A brilliant game, a good challenge and kept us busy throughout. Some humour from helpful allies and a unique clue system. Lots of fun and a must do game.

The set was a lot bigger than I expected and it added to the atmosphere. We enjoyed the room, it had a few unexpected puzzles and had us moving for the whole time. 

Tip - the rooms are located inside the bowling alley.

I contacted Cave Escapes before booking as I’m a huge wimp and don’t like the dark, they were very reassuring and removed some of the background noises to put me at ease.

The escape room is in a very unique location and the theme adds to the atmosphere it creates. We really enjoyed this room and although we finished it quite quickly we felt there were plenty of puzzles but we ‘clicked’ with them.

We like a good heist and we enjoyed this room, we did our usual overthinking on some puzzles but we got there in the end!

A mixture of puzzles but there was quite a few maths puzzles which helps if you have someone good with numbers in your team. 

Having already played Utopia separately, I would recommend playing them together.

We enjoyed the room, it is a standard escape room and probably good for beginners.

After playing the previous game we couldn’t wait to return and we had another great time! 

There’s a lot to do in this room and it is difficult with a smaller team but we enjoy the challenge. Great hosts, varied puzzles and great storytelling throughout, not to be missed. 

A small but well thought out room with immersive atmosphere including smells. Some interesting and unique puzzles too.

We had a piece of tech break so we wasted 5 mins trying to work out what to do and it meant we had to miss a puzzle, but the host was very apologetic and we understand sometimes these things happen. 

I’d asked for the scare factor to be toned down in advance and was reassured it was just a standard escape room I’d be entering, it wasn’t! I found it terrifying, the noise and dark was too much for me and the middle part of the room I tripped over several times. 

Overall a poor experience for me as it was overshadowed by the scare effects. 

If there had been less of us this room might have been better but there weren’t many puzzles and although we were assured it was even split of puzzles for those inside and those outside the cell, it wasn’t. Our players in the cell spent a lot of time waiting for a puzzle they could be involved in. 

An unusual take on a bank heist, we had great fun robbing the bank!

Avoid this room, it doesn’t work for a team and requires googling of answers to ridiculous questions. Terrible concept. 

Better than their other games

A tired and cheap,  looking room  with broken or tired puzzles. Terrible hosting, we were ignored when we asked for hints and I don’t agree that removing lights to make it impossible to see a padlock is a puzzle. 

An easy room and a little creepy at times.

We had great fun playing this game, a few hi tech puzzles and some puzzles we hadn’t seen before. 

We played as a 4 competitive game and had so much fun, the hosts played their parts so well and kept the pressure up for the whole time. Lots of different puzzle types and some challenging puzzles requiring good communication skills. After 100+ games this is still in hubbys top 3 games! 

This was one of the first heist games we played and it remains one of our favourites. The puzzles were varied, flowed well and there was lots to keep us all busy. Frustrated with ourselves that time ran out and we were working on the last puzzle to fully empty the vault! 

Although more geared towards beginners and families we still had fun. The hosts are always welcoming and the room flowed well with a mix of puzzles and a nice ending. 

If you watched Breaking Bad this game is for you, whilst it lacked in the number of puzzles it made up for it in aesthetics. Enthusiasts may find it a little simple. 

Some unusual puzzles set across a large game footprint and a few well placed tech puzzles. 

We played this when it first opened and I believe it has been tweaked since then. There were definitely some teething issues with technology not working and some illogical puzzles. It was an ok game but not up to Cryptology’s usual standard. 

A good game, a little frustrating at times but overall a good experience. 

After playing Cryptology’s other games we were pleased to see another instalment and it was brilliant! There was so much to do, lots of different puzzle types and difficulty levels, great fun for the whole family! 

A good solid game.

We played as a 6 and there was a lot to do. Nice that it’s a longer game and we needed all the time to succeed. A good mix of puzzles types including some physical puzzles, a good game. 

A good game with a few more challenging puzzles. There was some crawling which I believe you can bypass but would break the immersion. 

A good game, some unusual puzzles.

A good solid room, lots to do for a team of 2 but we successfully escaped! 

Whilst we enjoyed this game and it had lovely hosts there was 1 puzzle which we struggled with and found to be a little illogical. We successfully escaped and I do recommend the room but I think their other rooms are better. 

A great room with lovely hosts and puzzles we hadn’t seen before.

As others have said lots of the puzzles are broken and if you struggle with musical puzzles this game has a particularly difficult puzzle with poor hosting making it more difficult.

Finally made it to Escape Quest after hearing about it for several years and we were not disappointed! A brilliant company with enthusiastic and friendly owners. We loved this game, it was a lot of work and fun for a team of 2 but it was 60 minutes of joy. 

Our first game with Escape Hunt so we weren’t sure what to expect, overall it was a good game with different puzzles and some unusual items which fitted well with the theme. 

We were really excited to play this room being big Doctor Who fans and were prepared to pay the premium price for what we were led to believe would be an amazing experience, unfortunately it wasn’t.

So much of the tech was broken or missing, the puzzles were illogical and we left feeling let down.  A real disappointment for a pricey game and the worst we’ve done in 100+ games.
